Evolveable Consulting were engaged to undertake a regulatory review of ammonia and gas pipeline across Australia. This review assessed regulations in other regions including the European Union and United States where ammonia pipelines networks have been operational for nearly 50 years.
This reviewed safety and environmental aspects relating to ammonia pipeline networks across each Australian state and territory including risks to be considered. It also included review of recent publications on Future Fuel considerations and likely pathways Australia will take to ensure an efficient regulatory transition to manage future fuels to support a low carbon economy.
